Schedule

Phase 1, from Knik-Goose Bay Road to Mint, went out to bid for construction and is anticipated to start this season. Future phase 2 is dependent on funding and right-of-way.

Benefits

This project’s focus is to upgrade Fern Street to meet collector road design standards. As part of this effort, the Mat-Su Borough will install a pathway on the west side of the road and upgrade the crossing at Cottonwood Creek. The design will improve drainage.

Cost

Estimated for all phases: $13,500,000.
